REFERENCE MATERIAL PRODUCERS ACCREDITATION

Introduction:

NABL provides accreditation to Reference Material Producers (RMP) as per ISO 17034:2016. NABL is APAC MRA signatory for RMP Accreditation(ISO 17034: 2016)

ISO 17034:2016 is intended for the use by reference material producers in the development and implementation of their management system for quality, administrative and technical operations. This Standard covers the production of certified and non-certified reference materials.

Reference material (RM)

Material, sufficiently homogeneous and stable with respect to one or more specified properties, which has been established to be fit for its intended use in a measurement process.

Certified reference material (CRM)

Reference material characterized by a metrological valid procedure for one or more specified properties, accompanied by a certificate that provides the value of the specified property, its associated uncertainty, and a statement of metrological traceability.
